Reports and observations from Out-of-Body explorations

with Jurgen Ziewe (live via Skype from England)

Jurgen will provide an account of his observations during his 40 years of out-of-body explorations. He sees these other dimensions of existence as an extension to our natural world.

Jurgen will discuss the challenges faced by OBE explorers when subjective consciousness

interferes with consensus realities of the higher dimensions. He’ll also discuss the mindset required to observe and carefully record “objective” data from those environments.

Born in 1947 in a small town in West Germany, Jurgen suffered the loss of his father following a prolonged illness at only nine years old. For days after his death, his father appeared to Jurgen repeatedly in lucid dreams assuring the boy that he was still alive and well. This experience started Jurgen off on his quest into the greater mysteries of life.Passionate about abstract art and intrigued by the philosophy behind Kandinsky’s paintings, Jurgen sought out the last surviving pupil of the artist, and, after serving in the German Air Force, he enrolled at Hamburg Academy of Art. His desire to seek the very source of creation and his fascination with the mystery behind the appearances of life inspired him to embark on a deeply spiritual path. His meditation practice, although initially fruitless, presaged his spontaneous awakening experience during his early twenties, and soon after that he began to have spontaneous out-of-body experiences.

Leading a highly demanding professional life, Jurgen Ziewe compensated by practicing intensive meditation to gain balance and spiritual inspiration. He soon discovered there was more to life when he was catapulted out of his body into a parallel universe. For nearly forty years he kept a secret diary detailing his excursions, which reveal a fascinating alternate reality that awaits us once we leave our mortal bodies. Jurgen discovered a multidimensional universe into which he could step while maintaining full waking consciousness. He returned each time with breath-taking accounts of a world which forms not only the natural extension but the foundation of our physical universe. In his 2008 book, Multidimensional Man, Jurgen chronicles his observations and insights from Out-of-Body experiences into higher dimensional realities, and gives vivid and compelling accounts of meeting his deceased relatives, of interviewing the ‘dead’, and even of accompanying himself in a previous life. He describes with the zest of a travel journalist some of the mind-bending places he has visited, and recalls the excitement of unearthing the magical powers found there.

These powerful experiences shifted the emphasis of his work away from abstract art, and in the nineties with the help of sophisticated computer programs, Jurgen attempted to recreate the scenes he had encountered during his out-of-body journeys. Soon his work was noticed by poster publishers who established him as a fantasy artist subsequently selling over two million posters world-wide. Book publisher Collins & Brown became aware of his work and published a folio biography of the artist, New Territories – The Computer Visions of Jurgen Ziewe, (1997, Suckling, N). His work has since been featured widely on the covers of best-selling science fiction novels. Jurgen has also carved out a career as a highly sought-after illustrator and continues to be employed by some of the world’s largest advertising agencies, multinational companies and book publishers.

Jurgen’s website, www.multidimensionalman.com, has steadily grown in content as well as popularity._____________________________________________________________________ Meeting Details:

This meeting will be an experiment for INACS in using Skype video for a 2-way interactive presentation from a remote location.

If successful, this format will open up a large selection of potential worldwide INACS’ speakers to us.

The author will briefly present his work, and conduct most of the event in a Q & A format.

Please view the author’s website (www.multidimensionalman.com) in advance; it includes several videos and numerous writings that will allow you to get familiar with his work, and help you formulate questions for the presentation.

Recommended Reading____________________________________

Multidimensional Man

An Authentic Eyewitness Account of the World That Awaits Us After death

by Jurgen Ziewe

This intelligent account takes out-of-body experiences and lucid dreaming to another level while remaining divorced from dogma and the confines of belief systems. This graphic and in-depth record of the afterlife explored through astral travel and lucid dreams invites you to investigate new realms of experience beyond the physical. With each carefully documented journey out of the body, the reader is increasingly assured that death is a journey towards expanded consciousness. Documented in personal journals, this informative first-person account fills gaps in our understanding of ultimate reality and the higher dimensions and serves as a source of inspiration and encouragement. For a book that explores the realms of life after death, Multidimensional Man is a very down-to-earth exploration that will inspire anyone from atheists and skeptics to those with an interest in psychology, metaphysics and the sublime to explore the realms accessible through altered states of awareness.

It’s a little tricky to find the first time, so here are the directions:

If you’re heading northwest on Research/183 from I-35, Mopac or 360, exit 183 at the Oak Knoll exit, pass through the light at Oak Knoll, and stay on the access road heading north. The next side street off the 183 access road will be Technology Blvd.; do not turn on Technology. Immediately after you pass Technology, there will be a driveway on your right (the only one in that area)–Exit into that driveway. There will be a sign overhead for “Forest Plaza.” After you pull in, you’ll have no choice but to go to the left into Forest Plaza. Our building is the back left building within the complex–Suite 302. If you’re heading south on Research/183, you also exit at Oak Knoll, but take the u-turn just before you get to Oak Knoll, get over the right on the northbound access road, and prepare to make the right immediately after Technology Blvd. as in the directions above.

SMiles Lewis has had a lifelong interest in all things anomalous. An early age proclivity at recalling his nightly dreams as well as several personal experiences with ESP, precognition and dream switching bolstered his interest in the paranormal. Shortly after high-school he joined the local MUFON chapter in Austin, Texas. He would later become a MUFON State Section Director for that group as well as leader of the local UFO Experiencer Support and Study Group. A lover of books, SMiles collected over 1000 titles before founding the non-profit Anomaly Archives that serves as the lending library of the Scientific Anomaly Institute (501c3). For over twenty years he has worked with digital audio, video and other bleeding edge internet technologies. He has published his own print journal (E.L.F.
Our Dreaming Mind

by Robert Van De Castle

Van de Castle, former director of the Sleep and Dream Laboratory at the University of Virginia, presents the scientific facts surrounding dreams as well as some of the more prophetic, paranormal associations. He begins his well-organized text with a history of dreams, using such anecdotes as the revelation in a dream of the location of Kuwait’s great oil reserves to a British political official. Van de Castle proceeds to describe modern dream theories of the 20th century with a particular emphasis on Freud and Jung. He continues with the current state of dream research and ends with the paranormal qualities of dreams. While books concerning dreams abound, this broad and intelligent work is highly recommended.

Inspirational imagery revealed in dreams to Muhammad, Gandhi, Descartes, Wagner, Handel, Coleridge, Yeats, Orson Welles, Elias Howe and many others has wrought significant changes in politics, science, art, music, film, literature and religion. Yet dreams have been devalued in Western culture, and one reason for this, suggests Van de Castle, is that Freud’s forging of strong links among dreams, neuroses and sex has thwarted a wider exploration of the full meaning of dreams. Former director of the University of Virginia Medical School’s Sleep and Dream Laboratory, the author explores the dream theories of Freud, Jung, Montague Ullman, Fritz Perls and others. He surveys the importance of dream imagery in ancient and non-Western cultures and crams in a wealth of information on children’s dreams, recurrent dreams, nightmares, gender differences in dreaming and much else. This immensely readable resource is a monumental history of dreams and a practical stimulus for those who want to remember and work with their dreams. Illustrated.
6:30p Social, 7:00-9:00p Program

Austin Center for Spiritual Living
5555 N. Lamar, Suite D115/D117

The meeting is free & open to the Public
Exploration of Remote Perception Part III
Video Clips Featuring Skip Atwater will be Presented, along With Discussion Items.

Please note: The meeting day has been moved from the regular 4th Tuesday of the month, to the next day, Wednesday, June 29th

Discussion Items

Does the Monroe Institution “Hemi-sync” enhance remote viewing, if so – how and why?

What is the connection between remote viewing and PSI phenomena?

Why is remote viewing a right brained phenomena?

Why does the efficacy of remote viewing decrease with boredom?

The six traits that seem to be characteristics of good remote viewers – why?

(From Skip’s book “Captain of My Ship, Master of my Soul)”

They should be open to the idea of remote viewing.

Should Have artistic tHaveHave an artistic talent and be capable of using this talent to describe their remote viewing impressions.

Be highly regarded by their coworkers and supervisors.

Have the ability to in-flow data, or absorb a great deal of information, without being compelled to form tentative or spurious conclusions.

Should be highly motivated volunteers rather than be “ordered” or “assigned” to do remote viewing.

Should be able to quiet their minds and focus their attention on the task at hand, setting aside the mental noise of daily trials and tribulations.

* Also for discussion is attached a research paper from the Monroe Institution “Analyzing Results from the Remote Viewing Practicum.”

Bio of F. Holmes “Skip” Atwater:

Raised in a spiritually oriented family environment, Skip Atwater’s childhood was filled with extraordinary psychic experiences. As a young adult he was guided from within to a career as a counterspy during the cold-war era where he used his natural psychic aptitude as a U.S. Army Counterintelligence Special Agent. He played a key role in the remote viewing intelligence program now known to world by the code name STAR GATE.

For ten years Skip was the Operations and Training Officer for this secret remote-viewing program. He recruited and trained an elite cadre of professional intelligence officers to do remote viewing for the Department of Defense and various members of the national intelligence community. He planned, conducted, and reported thousands of remote viewing intelligence-collection missions.

After retiring from the Army, Skip became Research Director and more recently the President of The Monroe Institute. The not for profit organization serves as the core of a research affiliation, investigating the evolution of human consciousness, and making related information available to the public.

Remote Viewing is one segment of a spectrum of ESP related anomalies, from telepathy to telekinesis. The band width includes such diverse phenomena as near death experiences NDE, and out of body travels OBE. Remote sensing protocols and structured training have developed to formalize the field, as opposed to other paranormal happenings such as psychic abilities, which are often ad hoc and not brought forth at will.

This presentation of Remote Perception assumes the validity of the discipline, and hence other paranormal phenomena. So for believers of the gospel, or skeptics in part, this excursion in paraperception should be of interest.
Part II was held on May 24th and included:

Dowsing & the Lottery – Video & discussion

Reports are that money has been made using Remote Dowsing and Associated Remote Viewing to determine winning selections. Remote Dowsing is one way of determining Lotto numbers.

The INACS’ project “Remote Dowsing” – Overview and update
This project initiated by INACS founder Jim King, will use QEEG to brain scan subjects before, during, and after dowsing training, to determine any differences in mental activity.

Future research directions and practical applications – Discussion

Using Remote Perceptions in various applications – can differences in brain activity be determined with EEG, fMRI, and other brain scan methods to determine whether there is a correlation, and what part of the brain is active. Practical applications will be listed.

Part I was held on April 26th and included:

An introduction to remote viewing and dowsing – video & discussion
The history, development, military involvement, and other aspects of remote Perception.

In this book, F. By Russell Targ

The psychic abilities of most humans are dampened by the clatter of our conscious minds. In this timely book, Russell Targ draws on the work of ancient mystics and traditions — Gnostic, Christian, Buddhist, Kabalistic Jewish, Sufi, yogi, and especially Hindu spiritual master Patanjali — to show readers how to quiet this noise and see into the far reaches of time and space through remote viewing. This psychic ability offers a path of self-inquiry and self-realization and expands each person’s limited awareness of the consciousness shared by all humans. Targ explores its scientific as well as spiritual implications and offers techniques and exercises to nurture this universal but mostly untapped skill.

Using Remote Perceptions in various applications – can differences in brain activity be determined with EEG, fMRI, and other brain scan methods to determine whether there is a correlation, and what part of the brain is active. Practical applications will be listed.

Remote perception is one segment of a spectrum of ESP related anomalies, from telepathy to telekinesis. The band width includes such diverse phenomena as near death experiences NDE, and out of body travels OBE. Remote sensing protocols and structured training have developed to formalize the field, as opposed to other paranormal happenings such as psychic abilities, which are often ad hoc and not brought forth at will.

These presentations of Remote Perception assumes the validity of the discipline, and hence other paranormal phenomena. So for believers of the gospel, or skeptics in part, this excursion in paraperception should be of interest.

by Paul H. Smith, Ph.D. / Review by Alex Roslin

When word got out in 1995 that the U.S. Defense Department and CIA had funded efforts to read people’s minds, the news understandably excited all sorts of derision and conspiracy theories. Who would imagine that the story behind the efforts is actually a fascinating tale about the possibilities of human potential? Paul H. Smith tells the story of the U.S. “psychic spying” program in his book Reading the Enemy’s Mind. Smith doesn’t come across as some flaky new-ager. He was a young U.S. Army intelligence officer and Arab linguist who had no previous interest in extra-sensory perception when he was recruited into the program code-named “Star Gate” in 1983. Over the next seven years, he became one of the army’s premier “remote viewers” and the primary author of its training manual on the subject. He also served as a tactical intelligence officer in the 101st Airborne Division in Operation Desert Storm/Shield and got a Master’s degree from the Defense Intelligence College.

In Reading the Enemy’s Mind, Smith reveals that the military and intelligence communities performed hundreds of experiments and operational intelligence assignments using “remote viewing,” the government’s term for ESP. The program’s first big success came in 1979 when a viewer found a downed Soviet bomber in Africa after other intelligence operatives had failed–a coup praised by President Jimmy Carter. The psychics received target assignments from virtually every U.S. national-security agency, and Smith says they produced numerous positive results. Smith’s biggest revelation, however, is that the government research found that almost all people–not merely a gifted few–seem to have the potential of developing ESP skills, with enough practice and a few tips from a pro like Smith. Many readers will no doubt find it hard to know what to make of Reading the Enemy’s Mind and whether to believe any of it, but Smith writes with both color and a measured tone that together produce a captivating yarn even for the non-believers out there. –Alex Roslin –

A Presentation by Ronald Bryan, Ph.D.

In considering the wave function of an electron, I realized in 2000 that this entity resembles human consciousness in several ways, so I hypothesized that the wave function is conscious (and a human consciousness is a wave function). Now if an electron’s wave function is indeed conscious, then it might respond to a command from a human consciousness, perhaps as one human can communicate with another human through mental telepathy. With the help of atomic experimentalists, I have conceived of an experiment to look for such an effect, in particular, can human intention reverse the spin of a single electron. I describe the experiment and some applications.

The original paper in this research is entitled “Consciousness and quantum-mechanical wave functions” and can be downloaded from my website http://faculty.physics.tamu.edu/bryan

Many other papers on the subject also appear there.

Ronald Bryan, Ph. D., recently retired from the Physics Department of Texas A&M University but continues of carry out research there. He has made contributions in the fields of nuclear and particle physics, and recently turned his attention to atomic physics. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society.
